Tis the season of the seeds

The South West seed collecting season is well under way with bushland areas full of the ‘snap crackle and pop’ sounds of mature seed being released. We are in full swing at Cape Life collecting native seed for WA seed merchants, and for organisations including the Lower Blackwood LCDC, Main Roads WA, Augusta Margaret River Shire and Cristal Mining. We have been collecting seed across the south west including Binningup, Scott River, Harvey, Gracetown and Mandurah. Many of the Acacia varieties are being collected as well as Jarrah, Hakea, Kennedia and a wide range of other species. We will most likely collect over 50 different species this summer.
